Ruth Bastedo
Ruth Bastedo has produced award winning interactive communications for the last ten years. As Co-Founder new media firm Medium One Productions Inc., Ruth was the producer on a range of multimedia products for RBC Financial Group, RBC Funds, Microsoft Network, PBS, Cincinnati Bell and Bell Canada. After building the company up to 50 plus employees, Ruth and her partners sold Medium One in 2002 to the Mosaic Group Inc., and Ruth moved to RBC Investments, where she was personally profiled in national publications such as Macleans, the National Post and The Globe and Mail for her innovative approach to marketing investment products to the women’s market.
Ruth left RBC Investments, and founded Continuum Media Inc., and then Experience Media in 2004. Ruth is President of Women Entrepreneurs of Canada and a past member of the Board of Governors at St. Clement’s, an independent girls’ school in the Toronto area. She is a graduate of the Vancouver Film School with a specialty in Multimedia Production.
Michael McHale
Michael is a media maverick, with a proven 15 years experience as an international business development professional in technology and media. Michael has an outstanding track record delivering measurable results to multiple stakeholders, winning international awards for his innovative work, and integrating easily into international business environments. Past clients include Federal Express, Microsoft, Apple, Imperial Oil, Ontario Hydro and McCain Foods Inc.
Michael has held senior positions at Telbotics Inc., CHUM and Alliance Communications in Canada and with DLT Entertainment and Universal Services Group in the United States. He has been featured extensively in the international media (Today Show, TIME Magazine, Fox Television, CTV, Wired Magazine etc.) for his work in the emerging field of telepresence and videoconferencing.
Charles Cicciarella
10-year veteran in the new media industry, Charles combines his Project Management, Information Architecture, Interactive Design and Development skillset to provide clients with a truly unique and memorable experience. Charles has produced numerous award-winning interactive projects for clients from a broad range of sectors including technology (Hummingbird Ltd., Microsoft), arts/entertainment (Cinar, PBS, Universal Music), education (TVOntario), financial (RBC, CIBC) and retail (Chapters).
Most recently, Charles worked as a Communications Specialist/Webmaster for both the Mosaic Group and Hummingbird Ltd. Charles had his hand in building up Medium One Productions with Ruth Bastedo, occupying numerous positions including Account/Project Manager, MIS Manager, Information Architect and Interactive Producer.
David Bastedo
David Bastedo has been an Experience Designer for the last ten years, bridging the gap between technology and creativity for numerous clients in the worlds of advertising, music and kids' entertainment. As an associate and artist in residence with institutes such as the Banff Centre, the Canadian Centre of Arts and Technology at the University of Waterloo and the Canadian Film Centre, David has actively explored interactive experience formats such as multi-user game environments, data visualization and most recently user driven communities for great Canadian brands such as the Tragically Hip.
As co-founder of Toronto based "Flash in the Can" (FITC), David has also been a long-time designer of some of the stickiest interactive games and online experiences around for brands such as Rogers Wireless, Four Seasons, Dexit, Bacardi, Absolute Vodka, Lancome's Juicy Pop and CBC Kids-- with millions of game plays and loyal user bases. Prior to starting 10plus1 in 2000, David was an Interactive Producer at MacLaren McCann and Chiat Day.
Anthony Lazzaro
Anthony Lazzaro, has over 10 years of web site development experience. He brings with him industry specific experience, spanning Real Estate, Esthetics/Medicine, Beauty & Fashion, and Online Magazines. During his tenure at Demandstar.com he directed their multimedia marketing efforts, which resulted in a successful IPO that raised twelve million dollars. Anthony has completed projects for clients such as Microsoft Canada, Communiqué, Vickers & Benson, Gray Canada, Bluepeak, Medium One, Demandstar.com, Onvia.com and Touch Experience.
Anthony has used his expertise in Cold Fusion, SQL Server and MySQL, on projects for Microsoft Canada, Royal Bank, Novartis Canada, Heinz Canada, Accenti.ca, TravelCanada.ca, and many more.
Dr. Gloria MacCorkindale
Dr. MacCorkindale is a Senior Learning Consultant who assists organizations and government to achieve their strategic business objectives by improving their business and performance-based human capital initiatives, specializing in the field of learning.
Prior positions held include Vice President, Consulting Services at GeoLearning as a member of the senior executive team to establish GeoLearning’s Consulting Practice for the Professional Services Division, as well as recruit, lead, and manage the team of Performance Learning Consultants and Business Analysts to support GeoLearning’s business. Additional responsibilities included the design and development of the Competency Management, Change Management, Training Effectiveness and Learning Strategy / Return on Investment Models for GeoLearning’s Consulting Practice, as well as the architectural design of GeoLearning’s human capital management architecture for the development of a competency-based human capital management application. Additionally, Gloria held the position of National Learning Director for the KPMG Learning Alliance, on behalf of Forum Corporation, responsible to lead and manage an instructional design and development team, learning operations, and a team of Learning Consultants to create KPMG's customized learning solutions for Canada. Gloria also has over three years' experience as Vice President, Chief Learning Officer, with ITC Learning Corporation, responsible to lead and manage learning practices, principles and strategies into ITC's technology-based training products and training services. Further, she has over 23 years’ experience in the computer industry supporting IBM Canada Ltd. and IBM Greater China.
